Scar Treatment
We use a multiple pronged approach when treating scars…whether on the body or face. We use mostly Dermapen combined with numerous ointments and serums or peels as in-house treatments and then also maintenance treatments to be used at home. Please be aware that scar treatments require a long term commitment from the patient as a series of treatments are needed before results are visible .Different treatment protocols are used depending on the type of scar.We treat acne scarring as well as keloid and hypertrophic scars.
Leg Veins
Sclerotherapy is the medical treatment of injecting spider veins on legs with an agent that causes disintegration of these superficial veins. We use a product called Fibrovein which is injected into the troublesome vein in extremely small amounts in highly diluted quantities.It causes the veins to gradually dissolve over a period of 6 weeks.Compression stockings are worn for 10 days after the treatment…the first 3 days for 24 hours a day,thereafter during the day for the next week.This procedure is best done in winter as the stockings are quite warm for summer and the veins unfortunately look worse before they dissolve and look better. A consultation prior to the treatment is essential as we measure your height and weight so that correct sized stockings can be ordered and number of veins evaluated.
Hyperhydrosis (Excessive Sweating)
We are now able to completely stop you from sweating under your arms by injecting Botox under your arms. Within 5 – 7 days after the treatment you will no longer need to use deodorant. This lasts for approximately one year. This treatment is particularly popular with men who struggle with constantly wet/stained shirts from sweating. We are able to help!
